Drive Caffeine is a simple utility which will prevent selected drives from "spinning down" / sleeping.

7 February 2013: Drive Caffeine 1.3 released.

New in this release:

• Added option to minimise to system tray on startup for minimal interruption.
• Various bug fixes.

Particularly with some external hard drives, there is no option to keep these from spinning down so you may have to wait several seconds when trying to access the drive again. Drive Caffeine will run quietly in the background to keep these drives awake.
